Why I Am Fundraising
I am fundraising for child and youth mental health!
Me and my colleagues at Thorsteinssons are participating in the 2025 Capitalize for Kids' Bay Street Games, a challenge where professionals from over 30 Bay Street firms compete to raise funds for a great cause. I don't know if we'll be crowned Bay Street's Fittest Firm, but we'll have a great time trying!
While I’m doing my part, I’m counting on you to help me reach my goal. The funds I raise will support Capitalize for Kids in their work to improve mental health services for Canada’s children and youth, ensuring more young people get the care they need.
Kids need your help more than ever. In Canada, over 1.2 million children and youth are estimated to live with serious mental health issues —and fewer than 1 in 5 receive the care they need, meaning many go untreated. Nearly 30,000 children and youth are on waitlists in Ontario, some waiting up to 2.5 years for treatment.
