We’re fundraising for child and youth mental health—and this time, it’s not just about tax credits.
Our team at Thorsteinssons Tax Lawyers is suiting up for the 2025 Capitalize for Kids Bay Street Games—a high-energy competition where professionals from over 30 Bay Street firms face off to raise funds for a cause that’s anything but deductible: improving access to mental health care for children and youth across Canada.
We may spend our days untangling the complexities of the Income Tax Act, but this is simple: kids need care, and far too many aren’t getting it. Over 1.2 million children and youth in Canada live with serious mental health issues, and fewer than 1 in 5 receive the treatment they need. In Ontario alone, nearly 30,000 young people are stuck on waitlists—some for up to 2.5 years.
We’re pushing our limits on the field so they don’t have to off it.
While we battle it out for the title of Bay Street’s Fittest Firm, we’re asking you to do the heavy lifting with us: donate today and help Capitalize for Kids build a system where no child has to wait for care.
