2026 Bay Street Games

Why I Am Fundraising

Hi everyone,

This year, I’m fundraising for kids’ mental health and it’s a cause that’s really close to my heart.

With the rise of technology and the world our kids are growing up in, mental health feels more important than ever. As a mom raising a son, this one really hit home for me. I don’t usually jump into fundraising or charity events, but something about this year just felt right.

Over the past three years, I’ve been focusing more intentionally on my own mental and physical health, and trying to build those same healthy habits with my son (and my nieces and nephews too). I truly believe change starts small, and it starts with us showing up.

So, I’ve signed up to participate in the 2026 Capitalize for Kids Bay Street Games! It’s a fun, high-energy challenge where professionals from over 30 Bay Street firms compete, sweat, and fundraise for an amazing cause, all while chasing the title of Bay Street’s Fittest Firm.

I’m doing my part, but I’d love your support. Every dollar raised goes toward helping Capitalize for Kids improve access to mental health services for children and youth across Canada, so more kids can get the care they need when they need it.

The reality is tough. Over 1.2 million children and youth in Canada are estimated to be living with serious mental health challenges, and fewer than one in five receive proper care. In Ontario alone, nearly 30,000 kids are on waitlists, with some waiting up to two and a half years for treatment.

Together, we can change that. Thank you so much for supporting this cause and for helping create a healthier, brighter future for kids across Canada.
