Why I Am Fundraising

I am fundraising for kids' mental health!

I’ve committed to participating in the 2026 Capitalize for Kids' Bay Street Games, a challenge where professionals from over 30 Bay Street firms compete to raise funds for a great cause. I’m ready to be crowned Bay Street's Fittest Firm!

While I’m doing my part, I’m counting on you to help me reach my goal. The funds I raise will support Capitalize for Kids in their work to improve mental health services for Canada’s children and youth, ensuring more young people get the care they need.

Kids need your help more than ever. In Canada, over 1.2 million children and youth are estimated to live with serious mental health issues, and fewer than 1 in 5 receive the care they need, meaning many go untreated. Nearly 30,000 children and youth are on waitlists in Ontario, some waiting up to 2.5 years for treatment.

Together, we can make a lasting impact and create a brighter future for children and youth across Canada.

Mental health -a perspective

Growing up in the 80's and 90's I saw a lot of strange things. As a kid of the 80's I lived in a material world (and I was expected to be a material girl).

Boys don't cry... right?

As far as I'm concerned kids mental health came nowhere back then and I think that caused a lot of unnecessary damage.

I've put my brain and when I can my weight behind mental health causes as soon as I could and I still do it every chance I get.

When Ranjan discussed registering the Bodhi Research Group for the Bay Street Games and I heard of the underlying cause, I did not hesitate.
